Minnesota Timberwolves To Miss Superstar Anthony Edwards Due To Injury

The past few seasons have been full of immense promise for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and with a deep, loaded team, this is a group that still believes they are genuine NBA title threats in the deep Western Conference. While there's plenty of talent on this squad, how far they will go all depends on rising star Anthony Edwards, who has solidified himself among the NBA's elite players once again in 2025/26.

In 58 games played this season, Edwards is averaging 30 points a game along with 5 rebounds and 4 assists, and with him at his best, this team have the ability to beat anyone given the depth of Rudy Gobert, Julius Randle, Jaden McDaniels and others. Unfortunately, Edwards has now suffered another injury, as reports from Shams Charania reveal that he will be re-evaluated in 1-2 weeks.

This comes as a result of right-knee inflammation, something that has caused Edwards problems at time throughout his relatively young NBA career. As of right now though, there's little worry in Minnesota that this could be an issue that leads to something more down the stretch, as the team believe he'll be back well before the NBA Playoffs officially begin.

Ultimately, for Minnesota to succeed, Edwards will need to be as close to 100% as he can for the post-season, and if that happens, this is certainly a team to watch out for, with their fans having their fingers crossed he returns in the very near future.
