Lakers Parting Ways With Sharp-Shooting Guard Who is Leaving for Europe
Sep 11, 2025
The Los Angeles Lakers are coming into next season with a fresh roster. They’ve picked up new weapons at many key positions, and some of their 2024-25 roster is not making the cut. One of those players is Cam Reddish, who recently signed a contract with a team that is not the Lakers.
Donatas Urbonas of Basket News reported that instead of staying in the NBA, Reddish is heading to Europe.
“According to BasketNews sources, the 26-year-old wing is in advanced talks to sign with BC Šiauliai, a club with a solid track record in Lithuanian basketball.
Reddish's contract would include an exit clause for the 2025–26 season, allowing him to leave if opportunities in the NBA, EuroLeague, or other top-level competitions emerge.
Reddish looks to establish himself on the European stage, hoping that a strong showing in Lithuania could open doors to some of the continent's top clubs or the NBA.”

The reality is, Reddish didn’t do much for the Lakers last season or the season before that. Last year he only played in 33 games, averaging 17.8 minutes per game and scoring 3.2 points, two rebounds, and .7 assists. Most troubling, however, was that his 3-point percentage dropped to 27.7%.
Reddish entered the league as a lottery pick and was supposed to be a sharp-shooter from the beginning. Unfortunately, that never really came to fruition. Reddish only had one season over 35% from three in his six-season NBA career.
While Reddish’s new contract is going to have an exit clause, it’s unclear if any team in the NBA will want him back. He just wasn’t able to get his most valuable skill valuable enough.
