Derrick Rose Shocks The NBA World With A Surprise Choice For The NBA GOAT

Despite injuries, Derrick Rose will go down as one of the most talented players in NBA history, as well as being one of the more respected players of this past generation. While those injuries may have held him back from greatness, the NBA's youngest ever MVP managed plenty of success in the league, and now, he's moving on to the next chapter of his life.

Now, he's sharing plenty of thoughts on the NBA, and unsurprisingly, that has meant he has been asked to weigh in on the NBA's G.O.A.T conversation. Most people would say Michael Jordan or LeBron James, while some would mention Kobe Bryant, but when asked, Rose shocked fans with his selection.

"I mean, my GOAT now is Isiah Thomas because he's from Chicago. The only guy who beat Magic, Mike, and Bird all in their prime at 6-3. Chicago's way of doing sh*t. I used to say MJ, but it wasn't MJ... I'm not a two-guard. I don't score like him at all. So it was just me admiring his story."

While it's clear that Rose's pick was sentimental due to Thomas being from Chicago, he brings up a fantastic argument that IT was the only player to ever beat Jordan, Magic and Bird in the playoffs while with the Pistons. On top of that, Rose wanted to make a selection from his own position, with Thomas' game clearly being an inspiration for him, and while it won't be a popular pick, it's one that certainly makes sense for D-Rose.
