Oklahoma City To Get Major Boost With The Return Of A Star Forward

Last season, the Oklahoma City Thunder dominated en route to their first NBA Championship in franchise history, and in 2025/26, they appear ready to do the exact same again. As of right now, it appears as though Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is favored to win his second straight MVP award, and with a record of 56-15, they look likely to finish the regular season at the top of the Western Conference again.

However, they've dealt with plenty of injuries in 2025/26, and given how much success that they've still had, it shows just how good the depth of this entire organization is. On Monday, that depth will get a major boost, with All-Star Jalen Williams officially set to return to the lineup after missing over five weeks of action with a hamstring injury.

In fact, Williams has appeared in just 26 games for the team this season, and in that time he has averaged 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, and with his return looming, this is a major boost for a team that's getting healthy at the right time.

With Williams returning to a lineup that already boasts SGA, Chet Holmgren, Lu Dort, Isaiah Hartenstein, Cason Wallace, Alex Caruso and others, it's no surprise that they're favored in 2025/26. It may take some time for Williams to get back to form, but if he can get back to 100% before the end of the regular season, this is a team that will be incredibly dangerous once again.
