Warriors Team Reflects on Losing Moses Moody
Mar 26, 2026
Losing Moses Moody isn’t just a loss for the Warriors on the basketball court. Moody is one of the most beloved players on the Warriors’ roster, and he is the last guy anyone wanted to see go down with a serious injury.
Before going down with a season-ending knee injury against the Dallas Mavericks earlier this week, Moses Moody was in the midst of a career year. Moody was averaging career highs in points (12.1), rebounds (3.3), and assists (1.6) per game. He had solidified himself as a starter and looked like a strong future piece for the Warriors.

Draymond Green spoke about the impact of Moody’s injury on him and the team.
"It just sucks man. Moses, being a young guy who I've tried to take under my wing. I always compare him to Kevon Looney, just one those guys that you talk about the consummate pro, the ultimate pro. Moses does everything right as a professional, puts in all the work, doesn't complain about anything, is never late, never an issue. He's a coach's dream, he's a teammate's dream, he's an organization's dream and to see him get hurt after coming back from a 10 game absence, it's just unfortunate. You hate to see anyone get hurt, but you hate even more to see all the guys that does everything right. That's who Moses is, a guy who does all the right things. Seeing him after the game last night, still the same demeanor, calm, cool, and collected. A lot of times when you see these things, guys be delirious after and I think he was a little delirious, but he's just chilling, same demeanor as always. It was just an unfortunate situation."
Nobody has ever had a bad thing to say about Moses Moody. That’s why it hurts so much to see him go down. Players who do things the right way, like Moody, shouldn’t have to go through devastating injuries like this.
