DeMarcus Cousins Calls Out The NBA For Favoritism Towards The Lakers

Over the years, many people have called out the NBA for favoritism, especially towards the big market teams that have dominated the league's landscape since its inception decades ago. One team that many claim have benefitted from that are the Los Angeles Lakers, and recently, the NBA made a surprise decision that clearly seemed to benefit them once again, much to the dismay of NBA fans around the world.

That call was to rescind Luka Doncic's latest technical foul, overturning an automatic one-game suspension, and while it's the obvious call from the NBA, there's plenty of people that weren't happy about it. One of those people is former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins, who has called out the NBA as a result, stating that this wouldn't have happened if it was Draymond Green in this situation.

“If this is Draymond Green, it's not getting rescinded.”

Obviously, there's a major difference between Green and Doncic, as Draymond has a history of poor behavior on the court, but as for Doncic, his past isn't quite as bad as the Golden State Warriors veteran. However, in recent times, he's come under fire for his treatment of officials and constant complaining, and while the NBA saved him this time, it likely won't happen again.

Ultimately, the NBA has never hid their preference for big market teams, with several examples in league history, so it should come as no surprise that they've been called out for the situation involving Doncic.
