Jaylen Brown Calls Out NBA Fans For Changing Their Tune On New Rule

For years, NBA fans were constantly complaining about load management, with many comparing the modern day to the 1990's when players would constantly play 82 games, and it wasn't favorable for the modern day. That forced the NBA into making a change, and that they did, as the league implemented a 65-game minimum threshold for players to qualify for All-NBA teams and end of year awards.

For the most part, that has worked perfectly, but in recent times, the rule has come into question after the injury to Detroit Pistons superstar Cade Cunningham that will see him miss the remainder of the 2025/26 regular season. As a result, he will no longer be eligible for MVP or All-NBA consideration, and now, fans have called for the league to make a change to the rule.

That chatter has gotten to Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown, and as of right now, he appears critical of those fans that are looking to change things so quickly after just one injury.

“Everyone was in support it, because guys were load managing, now all of a sudden people don’t want it anymore”.

It's unclear whether Brown is against a change to the rule or is simply calling out the fans that have changed their minds so quickly, because for the most part, it has ended some of the issues that the league has had for years.

Ultimately, it all depends on Adam Silver and if someone comes to the league to push for an exception, but for now, it appears as though nothing will be changing this season.
