Derrick White Reveals His Least Favourite NBA City To Play In

With 30 teams in the NBA playing across North America, there are bound to be good and bad parts of every team for both home and road players. Some prefer cold climates out of the spotlight and others prefer nicer weather or big markets, with players often giving unique insights into their desires with their team.

On top of that, many players have given their opinion on their favourite cities to play in on the road, but unfortunately, not all outcomes are positive. When asked in a recent interview about his least favourite city to play in on the road, Boston Celtics star Derrick White didn't hesitate when he named Memphis.

Not only that, but he called it out for being the worst hotel for visiting teams in the NBA, giving major criticisms of it as an NBA city, despite many people around the world enjoying Memphis. However, this may be one reason that the team have struggled to land big name free agents since the franchise moved from Vancouver to Memphis back in 2001.

Obviously, opinions differ from player to player, but given the Grizzlies lack of success in landing stars for the entirety of the franchise's history, this may be one of the contributing factors around the NBA.

Ultimately, the pros and cons of every city in the NBA will differ between players, but for White to call out Memphis with no hesitation, it's more likely than not that he's not the only player that feels the same about the city of Memphis.
