Angel Reese Hints at Leaving the Chicago Sky Following Disappointing 2025 Season

Angel Reese is one of the most polarizing athletes in the world today, but in 2025, the WNBA star has taken her game to another level. On 46% shooting from the field, Reese has averaged 15 points a game to go along with 13 rebounds and 4 assists in 2025, improving significantly on her rookie campaign.

However, the Chicago Sky have struggled to be competitive, as they have once again failed to qualify for the WNBA Playoffs with a 10-30 record. Unsurprisingly, the former National Champion isn't happy with back-to-back bad seasons, as she has now hinted at pushing for a move from the Sky this off-season.

"I’m not settling for the same s— we did this year. We have to get good players. We have to get great players. ... However I can help to get the best here, that’s what I’m going to do this offseason… I’d like to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me."

Reese also mentioned that she's capable of drawing the best free agents in the WNBA to Chicago, and before any hints of leaving, she's going to try her best to do just that.

These quotes certainly wouldn't make her current teammates happy, but it's clear that Reese cares solely about winning in the WNBA, and if these teammates can't get it done, something drastic is going to change for her this winter.
