"No One Is Close To Steph Curry": Patrick Beverley Sternly Corrects Influencer's Take On Golden State Warriors Star

Throughout his career, Patrick Beverley proved that his relentlessness as a trash talker was equaled only by his proficiency on the defensive end. As brash as Beverley has looked like on television and social media, he knows when to acknowledge the greatest hoopers to ever grace the NBA with their presence.

Beverley proved this in a recent livestream with content creator N3on, who was practicing his shooting mechanics with the former Los Angeles Lakers guard in an empty gym. When Beverley mentioned Stephen Curry to help the intricacies of shooting form, N3on professed his admiration.

"That's who I want to be like," he said.

"No one's like him," Beverley quickly retorted.

Never one to shy away from making his point crystal clear, Beverley continued to lecture the content creator.

"Let's get that clear. No one's like him at all," Pat Bev emphasized. "No one will even be close to him."

Beverley knows exactly what he's talking about, as he had to go up against Curry in the Western Conference playoffs on multiple occasions. When the James Harden-led Houston Rockets were knocking on the door of the NBA Finals in the mid- and late 2010s, it was Curry's Golden State Warriors squad that stood in their way.

The feisty guard later moved to the LA Clippers, who were a legitimate title threat for a brief period when Kawhi Leonard and Paul George first arrived in Tinseltown. Even then, Beverley continued to run into the former MVP.

As heated as those backcourt battles were, Beverley maintained enough respect for the NBA's all-time leader in three-pointers made. This was clear when N3on drew up a half-baked comparison in their livestream.

"You know who gives me a resemblance of him? Fred VanVleet?" he said. Visibly annoyed, Beverley gave an emphatic response.

"NO. No one's close to Steph Curry."

Beverley has not always been known for his sportsmanship and camaraderie, but when it comes to players who are in the GOAT conversation, he is not playing around for one second.
