Memphis Grizzles Sign Recently Released Oliver-Maxence Prosper To Two-Way Deal

Recently, the Dallas Mavericks signed veteran guard Dante Exum, but to do so, they had to clear up some salary cap space. This left them with a very difficult decision, as the team reportedly weighed up moving on from either Jaden Hardy or Olivier-Maxence Prosper.
They ended up choosing the latter, as they waived the talented former first-round pick, but now, the Canadian native has found his new home.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Prosper has signed a two-way deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, a team that could use his length and versatility off the bench.
The 23-year old was once the No. 24 overall pick in the NBA Draft, and while he hasn't developed the way Dallas had hoped, there was still excitement for his future. In 92 NBA games played thus far, Prosper has averaged 4 points in just 10 total minutes per game, but given his length and talent at 6-foot-8, it's easy to see why there was excitement around him.

Now, Prosper joins a Grizzlies team with solid depth, as the team have Jaren Jackson Jr. and Santi Aldama playing the four, meaning that if he finds his way onto this roster, it will be in a very reduced role for Memphis. At 23-years of age however, there's still plenty of time for him to develop, and if the Grizzlies believe in his talent, expect them to be patient and allow him the room to grow as he looks to develop into a full-time role player in the NBA.
