Latest Statistic Proves How Vulnerable the Brooklyn Nets Are Heading into 2025/26
Sep 4, 2025
The Brooklyn Nets have made some intriguing moves in the post-KD&Kyrie era, and heading into 2025/26, it appears very clear that this team is set to tank for a draft that includes Cameron Boozer, AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson. Without many elite level young players on this roster, there are major question marks over how good they can be, and with another talented draft upcoming, it's clear that they want to pick as high as possible.
Now, a damning statistic has been revealed that just just how bad they may end up being, as they are the only team currently in the NBA without a former All-Star.
That's not to say that they don't have any talent, as Brooklyn still feature Cam Thomas, Nic Claxton and Michael Porter Jr., but without a leader to take them forward, they simply have no identity. The direction this team is set to take is becoming clear as they look to tank, with years to go before they have the building blocks of becoming a title contender.
Fortunately, they're equipped with assets, as the Nets have 13 first-round picks between the 2026 and 2032 NBA Draft's, meaning that they can use these as assets in a trade or begin a patient rebuild.
In 2025, the Nets added four players they drafted in the first round, so they've got plenty of young talents ready to develop, but with no All-Stars and no leaders on this roster, 2025/26 may be a rough watch for their fans.
