Dwyane Wade Calls Out Mark Cuban Over His Recent Comments Regarding the 2006 NBA Finals

Recently, former majority Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has made some comments on various topics, one of which was the 2006 NBA Finals. In that series, the Mavs went down to a young Dwyane Wade and an ageing Shaquille O'Neal, losing in the series 4-2, with three of the Heat's four wins coming by four or less points.

However, Cuban still isn't happy with the result, as he maintains that the series was stolen from Dallas for various results throughout the series.

“I’ll take that to my grave that it was stolen from us.”

However, the former Heat star that led the team to that series win wasn't about to let Cuban's comments go, as Wade recently responded to the billionaire on social media.

“You’re not about to tarnish the work I put in as a young guy, to do something not a lot of young guys have done in this game and say it’s rigged.”

At just 24-years of age, Wade put the team on his back and led them to the title, and while plenty of whistles went his way, the same can be said about many NBA Champions over the years. Dallas would end up getting their revenge in 2011 when Dirk Nowitzki led arguably the greatest title run in NBA history, as he eventually took down Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh to earn the Mavericks first ever title.

Despite that, Cuban won't let 2006 go, but given how much that series and that ring means to Wade, it's no shock to see him defend the results of that series.
