Western Conference Team Emerging As Potential Trade Candidate For Kelly Oubre Jr.

Recently, reports emerged that the Philadelphia 76ers are looking to move on from several key veterans, with Andre Drummond and Kelly Oubre Jr. named as the two most likely to be either traded or waived. This came as a surprise to many given the role that both were expected to play in 2025/26, with Oubre lashing out at fans on social media following the reports.

Now, there's growing interest in the veteran forward, with a report from Insider Jake Fischer naming the Sacramento Kings as a team that have shown interest in him.

On top of that, he named the piece that would potentially come back in a trade between the Sixers and Kings, with Dario Saric likely to be the centrepiece of a deal. In that deal, the teams would swap veterans that simply don't fill a need for their current teams, but would fit seamlessly on their new team, making this rumoured deal a good one for both parties.

Last season, Oubre averaged 15 points a night for the 76ers, as he became an incredibly valuable piece for this team off the bench in the past few seasons, showing that he's still capable of being a contributor at 29-years of age. If the Kings are already interested, there's likely to be other teams that will show interest in the coming weeks as well, and with the 76ers motivated to move the veteran forward, don't be surprised to see a trade before the regular season begins.
