Giannis Antetokounmpo Opens Up On His Future With The Milwaukee Bucks

For a decade now, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been considered one of, if not the best, players in the entire NBA, and he's done it all with his loyalty to the Milwaukee Bucks, who used a mid-first-round pick on him back in the 2013 NBA Draft. All of that individual success led him and the organization to the 2021 NBA Championship, their first in over five decades, with many now considering the two-time MVP as the greatest player in franchise history.

However, over the past 12 months, there's been non-stop speculation over his future, with the belief being that he is finally done in Milwaukee, even if he doesn't publicly request a trade. This summer, the expectation is that Giannis could be dealt as the Bucks look to build their future beyond the two-time MVP, and now, he's addressed that future, noting that it's now out of his hands.

“I don’t know. It’s not up to me anymore. It’s not up to me. We’ll see.”

Despite all of the success, both individually (two MVP awards, 10 All-Star appearances) and as a team, this appears to be headed for an ugly end, with the team and player both seemingly aware that it's best to move on this off-season.

If this is the end for Giannis in Milwaukee, he gave the franchise everything he had, averaging 24/10/5 across his career, but as of right now, the writing appears to be clearly on the wall with the Bucks and the Greek Freak.
