NBA Insider Provides The Latest Update On Luka Dončić's Injury

Just a few short weeks ago, the Los Angeles Lakers looked like one of the best and hottest teams in the entire NBA, but unfortunately, all of that came crashing down when Luka Doncic went down with injury. The hamstring injury threatens to derail the entire season for the Lakers, and recently, it was reported that Doncic headed to Spain to get an expert to take a look at it, hoping to return in the near future.

The Lakers playoff push begins on Saturday when they battle the Houston Rockets in Game 1, with the belief around the NBA being that without Doncic, this team can't take down Kevin Durant and this Rockets squad. While it's not a confirmation he'll return, NBA Insider Shams Charania has the latest on Doncic's situation, and for Lakers fans, it's one that comes with a slight glimmer of hope.

"He spent the last week in Spain from my understanding, he underwent multiple injection treatments in that hamstring. My understanding is he'll be back in the states on Tuesday and they're gonna re-evaluate him."

According to Sharania, Doncic will be back with the Lakers on Tuesday, and while he's still going to be re-evaluated, it's certainly a step in the right direction for a potential return in the post-season.

Ultimately, the Lakers playoff hopes rest on the shoulders of Doncic, with the belief that a 41-year old LeBron James can no longer carry a team to the NBA Finals, so stay tuned for another update on the Lakers star point guard as the playoffs approach.
