Giannis Antetokounmpo Reveals The Milwaukee Bucks Haven't Offered Him An Extension

The 2025/26 NBA season was full of excitement, but as usual, there was plenty of drama to go along with all of that, with most of it surrounding the Milwaukee Bucks and superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. Despite not being traded at the 2026 deadline, the rumors have surrounded the two-time MVP dating back to the summer, and with the Bucks missing the postseason completely, it's expected that this speculation will continue for months to come.

After spending the first 13 years of his career in Milwaukee, many expect the 2025/26 campaign to be Giannis' last with the Bucks, and with the team's regular season over, he has likely played his last game with the organization that drafted him back in 2013. While that's not confirmed, it's the overwhelming expectation, and now, Antetokounmpo has addressed the possibility of remaining in Milwaukee, clearly not expecting that to happen.

“Before we even talk about an extension somebody gotta offer me that... I don’t wear the pants in my relationship. I gotta ask my wife. If my wife says yes, yes. If she says no, no. It’s up to her. So you guys gotta ask her. Find her on social media. Follow her podcast. I don’t know if she has one. Ask her. Whatever she says, I do.”

Currently, the two-time MVP reveals that he's not been offered any type of extension by the Bucks, and with the team's future up in the air, it's unlikely to happen anytime soon.

For a long time, this was the NBA's perfect fit, with Giannis leading the Bucks to a Championship back in 2021, but given all the talk around this situation, it appears that a divorce is on the way.
