Los Angeles Clippers Showing Interest In Sacramento Kings Veteran

The Sacramento Kings doubled down on their veteran-heavy roster this summer, and early in the 2025–26 season, it's clearly not paying off. Through their first 18 games, the Kings have put together a record of 5–13, and now, recent reports have revealed they're open to moving almost anyone not named Keegan Murray.

That means the likes of DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and even long-time King Domantas Sabonis could all be on the move in the coming weeks and months. Now, a report from Sam Amick has revealed the Los Angeles Clippers are interested in DeRozan, who is becoming one of the more coveted players that could be available this season.

“DeMar DeRozan, the 36-year-old who league sources say has some interest from the LA Clippers, has a partial guarantee on his deal for next season (approximately $10 million of his $25.7 million). Malik Monk, who was part of the Jonathan Kuminga trade talks with Golden State in the summer that are likely to be revisited, has a combined $41.7 million on his deal in the next two seasons (including a 2027–28 player option). The list goes on from there, with fourth-year guard Keon Ellis ($2.3 million expiring deal) widely seen as one of the most coveted Kings players among rival teams.”

Given his scoring ability and solid contract, DeRozan is a player who could slide into any lineup and make a difference, and while nothing may save this old, struggling Clippers lineup, it's clear they're looking to buy as they aim to save their 2025–26 season.
