Draymond Green Claps Back at NBA Insider on Twitter
Nov 13, 2025
The Golden State Warriors aren’t playing as well as they’d like. They started the season off hot and have since cooled down. They’ve beaten some of the best teams in the league, but also have lost to some of the worst. Right now, they are 7-6, which is good for the 9th seed in the Western Conference.
This simply isn’t good enough. After trading for Jimmy Butler, the Warriors made it clear: they want to compete for a championship right now. The 9th seed in the West isn’t good enough to compete for a title.

After a butt-whooping from the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder, the Warriors' veterans spoke about the problems the team was having. Both Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green seemed to call out unnamed players on the team for not doing what it takes to win and not sacrificing for the greater good.
In response, NBA insider Kevin O’Connor called out Draymond and Butler, claiming they were the real reason for the Warriors' problems, not the young players.
Draymond Green went to Twitter to respond to this criticism, saying, "I'm certain I know far more about winning than you do. You couldn't win your intramural sports and thought it was a good idea to become an "NBA Writer"… and if you want to do some in-depth analysis and game breakdown, I will also put you to shame at that…Who said it was the young guys, Kevin? I said WE!! One thing for certain, I don't mince words and you don't have to speak for me. That's what the Draymond Green show is for. I SPEAK FOR ME! ALWAYS!"
When Draymond Green claps back like this, it can only mean two things. One, he is bored and just wants to promote his podcast, or two, O’Connor has struck a chord of truth, and Green is triggered.
