Sacramento Kings Head Coach Doug Christie Calls Out People Doubting His Team This Season
Nov 13, 2025
The Sacramento Kings are off to a very slow start in 2025–26, and with a record of 3–9 through their first 12 games, that does not bode well for their playoff hopes in the highly competitive Western Conference. Unfortunately, this is a team that went from young and exciting to an old, veteran core with a lack of star power, and that's seemingly coming back to bite them already.
However, one person that isn't giving up is Head Coach Doug Christie, who is seeing all of the hate for this team on social media, and now, he's called out those people, telling them to keep hating as he believes this team will turn it around in the near future.
"When I see the hate, the haters, the fakers -- all you guys, you keep that energy. That's good. You keep that. And you know who you are because while you're doing that, we're gonna be working. And while you're doing that, we're gonna be growing. And while you do that, eventually, we're gonna be coming -- the Kings Show. Sac proud, know that.”
At this point, it appears as though the Kings simply don't have the talent to keep up with the top teams in the West, so while Christie remains confident, it's unclear just how good they can truly get in 2025–26.

On top of Christie's comments, reports have emerged that this organization is potentially looking to tear it down and rebuild, so ultimately, this team needs to choose a direction and stick to it, whichever way that is.
