Phoenix Suns Star Jalen Green To Miss Weeks Of Action After Just Getting Healthy
Nov 12, 2025
This offseason, the Phoenix Suns traded star forward Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets, and instead of targeting future draft picks, the team landed some intriguing young talent in return. Perhaps the biggest piece of that trade was former No. 2 overall draft pick Jalen Green, who represented a potential long-term piece alongside franchise star Devin Booker.
Unfortunately, Green has appeared in just two games early in the 2025/26 season, with the young guard dealing with some leg injuries early in the year. That's now getting worse for the Suns star, as he has suffered a major injury setback following his return, as reports have revealed he will be evaluated in 4-6 weeks for a hamstring injury.
Last season for Houston, Green appeared in all 82 games, tallying 21 points a night in that time, and after shooting 43% from beyond the arc in his two games this season, Phoenix was seemingly happy with the early returns. Now, however, they'll be without Green for at least the next month, and while there was little chance of a playoff berth in the Western Conference this season, this injury setback limits the positives they can take out of the early parts of the 2025/26 season.

Ultimately, Green's future in the NBA is still incredibly bright, and when he gets healthy, the Suns will have another great scoring guard next to Booker, but with the injury issues piling up, there has to be cause for concern in Phoenix.
