Cooper Flagg Joins Only Kobe Bryant with This Ridiculous Statistic
Oct 27, 2025
The Dallas Mavericks got their first win of the season on Sunday, defeating the Toronto Raptors 139-129. After two disappointing outings to start the year, this win gave Mavericks fans some confidence to move into the season with something positive to build on.
Anthony Davis was the star for the Mavericks, scoring 25 points and notching 10 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell also made some headlines with his first significant chunk of playing time, yielding positive results. He had 24 points, six assists, five rebounds, and three steals in his 29 minutes of playing time.
Although those two were the high scorers for the Mavericks, the Mavericks' win against the Raptors also marked Number One overall pick Cooper Flagg’s best game of the year.
Flagg had 22 points on an efficient 8-of-14 from the field while also adding four rebounds and four assists to his stat sheet.

What is even more impressive is that Flagg did this as the youngest player in the NBA. Flagg became just the fifth-youngest player in NBA history with a 20-point game. He also did it without turning the ball over once. This has landed him on a list with some pretty elite company. Now, Flagg is joined only by Kobe Bryant as an 18-year-old to have scored 20 points without a turnover in an NBA game.
This is what makes Flagg so exciting as an NBA prospect. He is the youngest player in the league, is already scoring 20-point games, and,*above everything else, is doing it efficiently and not turning the ball over.
Eighteen-year-olds—and rookies in general—just don’t do that. Expect more historic nights from Flagg as his rookie season continues. Flagg may just be living up to the enormous expectations that are already on him.
