Sacramento Kings' Asking Price For Keon Ellis Has Been Officially Revealed

The Sacramento Kings have struggled mightily thus far in 2025–26, and with a record of 8–29 through 37 games played, it's safe to say that this veteran core is ready for a shakeup. This season, we've already seen plenty of trade speculation around Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, and DeMar DeRozan, but perhaps the player drawing the most interest of all is rising star Keon Ellis.

The 26-year-old has shown an ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor, and given how that would help a contending team in the NBA Playoffs, he's a very hot commodity. Now, a report from James Edwards has revealed just what the Kings are seeking in offers for Ellis, with the team reportedly looking to land at least one first-round draft pick.

"From a money standpoint, Ellis would be easy for the Knicks to take on. He's only making $2.3 million this year. Ellis and Doug McDermott for Yabusele and some second-round picks would get it done on paper, but it takes two to tango. Yabusele has a player option for next season that Sacramento might not be interested in, and I've heard the Kings are currently interested in a late first-round pick for Ellis, though that can change as the deadline inches closer."

On paper, the pure numbers don't show that Ellis is worth this much, but given how he impacts the game at both ends of the floor, if a contending team gets desperate to upgrade at the deadline, don't be surprised to see them give up a first to land Ellis.
