Vince Carter Reveals His Dream Slam Dunk Contest Lineup For 2026 All-Star Weekend

The NBA Slam Dunk Contest used to be one of the marquee events on the NBA calendar, but in recent years, it's safe to say that it's lost its luster. However, there are many, many young stars in the league that can bring that excitement back, and in 2026, the NBA could put on one of the most exciting contests in recent memory.

One player who is defined by his dunks and athleticism is Vince Carter, and now, the former NBA star has addressed the 2026 event. In doing so, he named the following four players as his dream lineup for the 2026 NBA Slam Dunk Contest:

Amen Thompson, VJ Edgecombe, Shaedon Sharpe, and Stephon Castle.

In recent years, this event has failed to attract the stars that it once did when the likes of Michael Jordan and Vince Carter played a role, and now may be the time to lean into that. With these four players, the NBA would see some of its most impressive and athletic players of the future in the spotlight, with a need to impress the world.

On paper, there are no better four players to show off the exciting players that will be leading the NBA forward, and given how athletic all four are, we could see some incredibly impressive and innovative dunks. However, it's been made clear that not everyone in the league wants to be a part of the Dunk Contest, so while this would be a dream lineup, only time will tell if these young stars are interested.
