Alperen Sengun Calls out the Golden State Warriors for their Playoff Antics
Aug 19, 2025
The Houston Rockets took a huge step forward a year ago, and after landing Kevin Durant this summer, they're one of the NBA title favourites in a loaded Western Conference. Last season, they earned the No. 2 seed in the West and a showdown with the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Playoffs, a matchup that they would eventually lose in seven games.
With both considered contenders heading into the 2025/26 campaign, there's a chance that a rivalry could be building, and after recent comments from Alperen Sengun, that's even more possible.
When asked about the Warriors playoff antics, the Rockets star big man was happy to call out the team for not only fouling a lot, but also complaining about calls throughout the series.
“They're a very experienced team, and they fouled a lot. In the playoffs, they don't call it. But they were the ones crying all series about fouls not being called.”
With a player like Draymond Green on the opposing side, there's no surprise for anyone when a player sums up the Warriors like this, but with so much experience and four NBA titles, there's a reason why they get away with what they do.

Unfortunately for Houston, they just couldn't hang in the series as the Warriors claimed Game 7 in a tough series, but it would no doubt be a great experience for this young team. Now, with the addition of Durant, they've got the firepower to match up with some of the top teams in the West, and after learning so much in their series with Golden State, they'll be hoping that Sengun and their stars take that forward and lead them to success.
