Walker Kessler Reveals His Frustration Over the Utah Jazz Not Offering Him an Extension

Over the past few years, there has been plenty of trade speculation around Utah Jazz big man Walker Kessler, with many teams reportedly interested in the rising star. Unfortunately for those teams wanting to acquire him, the price placed on him by Danny Ainge has simply been too much, and as of right now, he remains with the Jazz heading into the 2025-26 regular season.

However, that's about to change, as a recent report revealed that the Jazz aren't looking to extend Kessler, and with free agency approaching in the near future, it's likely that they'll now push harder to move him.

Recently, Kessler was asked about how that made him feel, and unsurprisingly, he felt disrespected by the team, but noted he's not going to stop playing hard while he's wearing the Jazz uniform.

"I'm definitely a little frustrated ... as long as I have an Utah Jazz jersey on, I will play winning basketball."

This should come as no surprise, as Kessler has improved immensely in recent times, so for the Jazz to have no interest in extending him should feel disrespectful, as many see him as a key building block of the future.

It's unclear what has potentially happened between these two parties, as Kessler has become one of the top rim protectors in the NBA in Utah, but as a result of all these reports, it appears he may be ready to play for a contending team in the near future.
