Shams Names Four Most Likely Giannis Trade Destinations

The NBA is about to get shaken up in a big way. When one of the league’s top-5 players becomes available for trade, everyone around the NBA starts to scramble. Tons of teams are taking note of what they can offer and whether they are interested in completely reshaping their team in order to land Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Of course, every team would love to have Giannis. Still, he is on the back end of his prime and does not have the best injury history. Trading for Giannis is a risk, and giving up all your assets to get him is an even bigger risk.

That’s why not every team will be involved in the Giannis trade sweepstakes.

Shams Charania, who has been one of the leading reporters when it comes to Giannis trade rumors, mapped out the four teams he believes are best positioned to land Giannis right now.

“To me, it all starts with Giannis. There are teams in both conferences. I would look at Minnesota and Golden State in the West, New York, Miami. Those are four of the strong suitors for Giannis right now on the market.”

These teams are the most likely Giannis trade destinations right now, but if the Bucks decide to wait until the offseason to trade him, this list could change completely.

Because of Giannis’ relationship with the Bucks, many believe he will have a say in where he gets traded. So even if these teams might have the best available packages, Giannis may not want to play for any of them.

Suppose Giannis indicates his preference before getting traded; the entire market will change. So, even if Shams has the inside scoop right now about who could land Giannis, everything can change if Giannis wants it to.
