Gilbert Arenas Weighs in on the Comparison Between Kyrie Irving and Damian Lillard

Every NBA off-season, fans engage in debates over comparing players, teams, previous NBA Champions and other topics, all as they wait for the next season to come back. This off-season, one of the debates has been around Kyrie Irving and Damian Lillard, two of the greatest point guards of this generation alongside Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry.
Both are fantastic and have their own successes and failures in the NBA, and now, one of the biggest personalities in NBA media has weighed in. On the latest episode of his show, Gilbert Arenas made his opinion known on the debate between the two stars, stating that there's no contest between the two, as Lillard is the far superior player as a result of his All-Star game appearances.
“If Dame was in a bigger market, we wouldn’t even be having this discussion. Kyrie’s a 3x All-NBA, Dame’s a 7x — that means he was a top 3 guard in the NBA for 7 years.”
On top of that, he credits the big markets that Irving has played in (New York, Dallas, Boston) as reasons for some believing he is the better player, with the defining moment of his career in the 2016 NBA Finals also playing a key role.

These two stand out among the best guards of this generation alongside Steph Curry, and while the argument can be made for either of them, Arenas believes Lillard is the better player, and given his production, it's hard to argue with that.
