Josh Giddey Signs Massive Four-Year Extension With the Chicago Bulls
Sep 9, 2025
Last off-season, the Chicago Bulls acquired Josh Giddey in a deal involving Alex Caruso, and in his first campaign in Chicago, the young guard was a star. Averaging 15, 8 and 7 on the season, Giddey proved he can be a long-term piece with the Bulls, but coming into this summer, he was in the middle of a contract stalemate with the team.
With training camp just a matter of days away, they've now come to a resolution, as the Bulls have officially announced Giddey has signed a contract extension.
That extension is a four-year, $100 million deal, much bigger than the reporter four-year, $88 million contract that was reportedly offered by the Bulls to Giddey in recent times. On paper, compared to other players making $30 million a year or more in today's NBA, this is a great deal for both parties, as Giddey will give his prime years to help Chicago continue this rebuild.
Now, they'll look to add talent around he, Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu as they look to build for the future, and now that Giddey is locked in, it gives them one of their building blocks for a long, long time to come.

Given how consistently improved Giddey has been throughout his career, this four-year deal will give him the opportunity to take a major leap forward, and if he does that, the Bulls may have one of the best young guards in the NBA locked up for years.
