Rival Team Could Be Interested in Trading For Warriors' Forward

Who is going to end up with Jonathan Kuminga after the NBA trade deadline? Right now, Kuminga sits as perhaps the most likely player to be on the move this NBA trade season, but nobody knows just where he will end up.
The Kuminga trade rumors have attached him to multiple different potential suitors. Since last summer, there have been tons of teams that have considered what trading for Kuminga would look like. Presently, the Sacramento Kings seem to be the most likely team for a Kuminga trade, but it seems like new teams enter the chat every day.
Recently, a surprising new team has reportedly shown interest in Kuminga.
NBA insider Jake Fischer reported, “The purple-and-gold's known preference at this deadline is to acquire a true 3-and-D wing with size if possible to provide some point-of-attack resistance on the perimeter as well as some shooting, but it must be said the Lakers, according to sources, did call Golden State about Kuminga during the sides' summer standoff in restricted free agency I’m told that the Lakers have likewise continued to monitor Kuminga’s situation while casting a wide net to try to find help on a very limited wing market.”
The Lakers are one of the few contending teams to be rumored as having interest in Kuminga. It makes sense why they might want him, but it seems like a risky choice.

Kuminga can’t carve out a significant spot in the Warriors' rotation; why would things be much different in LA? Additionally, Kuminga has made it clear he wants the ball in his hand and believes he has All-Star potential. If the Lakers traded for him, they’d want him to be a role player to help complement Luka Doncic.
The Lakers might have a slight interest in Kuminga, but expect a team that is rebuilding and wants to bet on Kuminga’s star upside to be the one to eventually trade for him.
