Phoenix Suns Unwilling To Include Young Guard In Any Trade Talks

The Phoenix Suns made some big moves this summer, and after moving off Kevin Durant, many expected them to struggled mightily in 2025/26. However, they've been off to a great start, going 24-15 through their first 39 games as they sit in sixth place in the Western Conference.

The main reason behind that success is the arrival of the pieces in the KD to Houston trade, with Dillon Brooks once again being the culture setter for another team. The other piece in that trade was Jalen Green, and while he's only played two games for them, he has put up 16 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists, with the team hoping he can stay healthy in the second half.

Now though, there has been some interest expressed in Green, but according to a report from Brett Siegel, the team are not interested in including him in any trade conversations.

While Green had his ups and downs in Houston, he has averaged 20 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in his career thus far. Unfortunately, he has struggled with injury this season after playing in 82 games a year over the past two seasons, but right now, the Suns are betting on his upside moving forward.

On paper, it appears as though the Suns could shockingly be buyers, rather than sellers at the deadline, and while many saw them as a bottom tier team coming into the season, when healthy, this is a team that could be a major threat in the West in 2025/26.
