NBA Reporter Reveals Golden State Warriors Top Three Trade Targets

The Golden State Warriors are nearing the end of their dynasty, and after winning four NBA Championships with this core, it's safe to say that they're one of the most successful dynasties in league history. In 2025/26, many believed they had a shot at one final run together, but with a record of 21-19 through their first 40 games, they currently sit in eighth position in the Western Conference standings.

While they're not sitting among the elite teams in the league right now, with Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr leading the way, this organization never feels as though they're out of the race. That means they will be looking for an upgrade ahead of the trade deadline, with recent rumors stating that Michael Porter Jr. of the Brooklyn Nets is their ideal trade target.

Beyond that, NBA Insider Brett Siegel has now named two New Orleans Pelicans rising stars alongside MPJ as the Warriors top trade targets leading into the 2026 trade deadline.

As of right now, it appears as though the team have been in contact with both Brooklyn and New Orleans, and while a deal hasn't yet gotten done, if the team get aggressive, there's a good chance they can make a deal happen in the coming weeks.

Ultimately, this may be the Warriors final chance at making an NBA Finals run, and while going all-in for any of these players come with a risk, if that is their plan, don't be shocked to see them make another blockbuster this season.
