Chris Paul Addresses Uncertainty With His Upcoming Retirement

Coming into the 2025/26 season, Chris Paul announced that this season would be his last in the NBA after an incredibly impressive career that spanned 21 years. In that time, Paul has played for New Orleans, Los Angeles, Houston, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, San Antonio, Golden State and coming into this year, he returned to the Clippers.

However, things were different than the last time he was there, and while he remains respected, things didn't quite work out the way that he expected. As a result of a clash with the coaching staff and the front office, Paul was sent home by the team, and with just a few months left in his final NBA season, he's still yet to find a new home.

Now, he's addressed that uncertainty, expressing his love for the game, but admitting he doesn't know where he's going to end up in his last year.

“I just love this game so much that I don’t want it to end like that... I don’t know yet, I don’t know what team I hope to finish with.”

After his incident with the Clippers, there was reported interest in CP3 around the league, but as of right now, there's been no indication that he's on the cusp of finding a new NBA home.

Whether Paul has a successful final run in the NBA or not, he will be remembered as an all-time great, but if he can find a new home for the remainder of 2025/26, there's still a chance for a fairytale ending.
