Paul George Set To Make His Philadelphia 76ers Season Debut On Monday Night
Nov 17, 2025
The Philadelphia 76ers had a rough campaign in 2024–25, but early in the new season, they've shown off just how good they can be, going 7–5 through their first 12 games. That success comes without several key veterans, as the young backcourt of Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, and Quentin Grimes has stepped up in a big way.
Despite a strong start, Joel Embiid is once again under an injury cloud for this team, but now, they've gotten some good news, as veteran Paul George is set to make his season debut on Monday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.
George had an operation on his knee in the offseason, hence why he spent the first few weeks of the new season on the sidelines, but now, after ramping up his activity in practice over the past few days, he's set to go for the team on Monday. As of right now, it's unclear if he's on a minutes restriction or if the team will limit him early in his return, but given how important he is to the organization, it's safe to say they're hoping to get the best out of him immediately.

After a red-hot start, the 76ers have slowed down over their past few games, and now they'll be hoping that with the injection of a leader and another solid scorer, they can rekindle that early-season form, so now only time will tell whether or not George can be the one to deliver that help.
