Nuggets Coach Has High Praise for Rival Forward

David Adelman has witnessed some pretty incredible basketball. When you coach the best player in the world, there probably isn’t a lot that can impress you. However, before the Nuggets pulled out a huge win against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, Adelman had some very nice things to say about Boston’s star forward, Jaylen Brown.

"He's an elite, All-Star, two-way player. I just watched him grow over the years, not just the championship year, but with Jayson Tatum obviously out, more responsibility falls into his hands, and I thought they did a great job building around him for this particular season, with all the shooting that surrounds him
He's a problem. He's not fun to watch on tape when you have to play against him. I'm a fan of his, just as a pure basketball person, not just as a coach. Actually got to spend some time in Africa, he was such an impressive person. He's good for the NBA. He's going to be a problem for us tonight."

Without Tatum in the lineup, Brown's stardom has soared. He is averaging a career-high of 29.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists this season. Even more impressive than his stats has been the success of the Celtics without Tatum (or multiple key pieces that helped them win a championship a couple of years ago).

Right now, the Celtics are 23–13 and are the third seed in the Eastern Conference. This is defying everyone’s expectations, and Brown’s play is a big part of it.

Brown scored 33 points and had seven rebounds in the game against the Nuggets, but it wasn’t enough. The Nuggets beat the Celtics 114–110.
