New York Knicks Catch Unfortunate Break With Recent OG Anunoby Injury
Nov 17, 2025
The New York Knicks are off to a fantastic start in 2025–26, with the team going 8–4 through their first 12 games despite the recent injury to star point guard Jalen Brunson. This team has fantastic depth, but if they are to fulfill their potential as an NBA Finals contender this season, they need to be 100% healthy come NBA Playoffs time.
Unfortunately, they've been hit with another injury setback, as it has been announced that injury-prone, two-way wing OG Anunoby has suffered yet another injury. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Anunoby is going to be re-evaluated in two weeks to see the severity of the left hamstring injury, and if it is serious, this could be a major setback to the Knicks' hopes this season.
After succeeding during his time with Toronto, Anunoby has taken his game to a new level in New York, bringing the two-way, grind and grit that the fans and the team in the Big Apple truly love. Unfortunately, he has missed some time in his tenure with the Knicks, but in his three years, he's become crucial to this lineup, averaging 17 points, four rebounds, two assists, and a steal per game thus far.

While he's not the star that Brunson or Karl-Anthony Towns are, Anunoby is just as important as anyone for this Knicks organization, and now, the team and their fans will be sweating on the latest update when he gets re-evaluated within the next two weeks.
