New Video From the Boston Celtics Shows Promising Jayson Tatum Injury Recovery

In the second round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, Jayson Tatum went down with a brutal injury against the New York Knicks, one that quickly ended his season and the Boston Celtics’ title hopes. Early after the injury, many expected Tatum to miss the entirety of the 2025-26 regular season, but since that point, there's been plenty of optimism surrounding Tatum and his promising start to recovery.

Now, just a few months after he ruptured his Achilles, a video has emerged on social media showing the Boston Celtics star back on the court, something that no one expected to see this quickly.

Fans in the comments on social media were incredibly impressed, with reports from medical professionals also impressed by Tatum's quick start to recovery seemingly being accurate. While he's obviously not going at 100%, to be this far along just a few months after tearing an Achilles is incredible, and it's once again given Celtics fans optimism that Tatum could return at some point during the 2025-26 regular season.

There's still going to be many more steps to recovery for Tatum, but given his drive and his desire to recover, potentially in time for a postseason run this year, it’s easy to see why there's hope for him. Ultimately, if Tatum doesn't return in 2025-26, he'll be back to 100% in time for the following regular season, but given what we've seen so far, there's no reason to doubt the Celtics superstar.
