NBA Insider Names Three Players That Could Be Traded By The Bucks If They Move Giannis Antetokounmpo
Dec 5, 2025
Recently, all the talk in the NBA has been about two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and his future with the Milwaukee Bucks. While Doc Rivers denies the trade request from their superstar forward, reports around the league have confirmed that he's looking to get out after years of speculation over his future.
Now, all of the talk has become about potential landing spots for the two-time MVP, with a subsequent trade potentially set to shift the balance of power around the NBA. However, an even more intriguing question is what the Bucks want to do with the rest of their team if they do end up trading Antetokounmpo.
According to Jake Fischer, rival teams in the league believe that if the Bucks do trade Giannis, it will come with a full-scale rebuild that includes trading Myles Turner, Kyle Kuzma, and Bobby Portis, at the very least.
"That could mean several different outcomes … outcomes that the Bucks are indeed projected by rival front offices to be actively pondering in the coming weeks. Some teams out there think the post-Giannis Bucks would want to initiate a full-scale teardown that includes trading away veterans like the title-winning Bobby Portis, February acquisition Kyle Kuzma, and offseason addition Myles Turner. Even then, though, there would be loud questions."
That would be a major step back for the Bucks organization, but given the assets that they could get from trading all of these players, it would put them in good standing for a rebuild if that's the way they want to go.
