Jayson Tatum Reveals A Desire To Play With His Son 'Deuce' In The NBA
Dec 4, 2025
Jayson Tatum suffered a brutal injury in the NBA Playoffs a season ago, but the Boston Celtics superstar is seemingly feeling much more positive about his future in the league. At 27 years of age, Tatum is expected to make a full recovery and to be playing at a high level for years to come, with so much already accomplished early in his career.
Still, that hasn't stopped Tatum from looking forward, as he addressed his long-term future in the league recently with the Morris twins, Marcus and Markieff. In that chat, Tatum revealed that with his son Deuce being 8 years of age right now, he just has to play another decade before achieving his goal of playing with him in the NBA.
"He turned 8, I'm 27, it's like, damn, can I play 10 more years? I can easily do that. So if it works out, it would be cool."
That was a goal achieved by LeBron James last season when he played with his son Bronny for the Los Angeles Lakers, and given how many players are having children at a young age, that won't be the last time that this happens in the league.

For Tatum to achieve this dream, he'll not only have to play until he's at least 37 years of age, but he'll have to find a way to join whichever team Deuce gets drafted by. All of that assumes that his son will have the talent, the desire, and the luck that Tatum has had, but if he achieves it, it's safe to say that Tatum will be very happy with his NBA career.
