James Harden Was Reportedly Against The Clippers Signing Chris Paul

The Los Angeles Clippers have been surrounded by tensions and drama for quite some time, but heading into this season, the team was optimistic about its chances on the floor. Unfortunately, they've dealt with injuries and inconsistencies early in the season, and it's resulted in a team with a record of 6–16 through their first 22 games, with their hopes all but extinguished.

Then came the Chris Paul drama, with the team reportedly getting fed up with his attitude behind the scenes, officially moving on from the franchise legend in what's set to be his final NBA season. Most reports have now been one version or another of people calling out the Clippers, but now, Kevin O'Connor has revealed that James Harden was against this signing in the first place.

“I've heard from multiple sources that James Harden was opposed to the Chris Paul signing, that he was one of the guys who was like, ‘Eh, I'm not so sure here.’ And then this ended up happening.”

It's unclear exactly why Harden was against the signing, but clearly, something was wrong, and now, just a few weeks into the season, the team has needed to move on from CP3 following some internal drama.

Ultimately, this didn't seem like a good idea in the first place, especially given the ages of this Clippers team, and now, just a few weeks into the season, the drama continues to grow around the NBA's most intriguing team.
