LeBron James' Historic 18-Year Streak Comes To An End

January 5, 2007.

That was the last time that LeBron James scored less than 10 points in a regular-season NBA game. Since that point, James has rattled off 1,297 straight games with double-digit scoring numbers, a streak that surpassed everyone in NBA history as he became the NBA's all-time leading scorer.

However, that streak officially came to an end on Thursday, with LeBron making a very unselfish play at the end of the game, opting to pass with 8 points and the game on the line. That paid off big time for the Lakers, as Rui Hachimura nailed the game-winner, but ultimately, seeing that 1,297-game streak come to an end for James.

This ends one of the greatest streaks in NBA history, as James went a full 18 years between the last time he scored under 10 points and now. However, in the playoffs, this streak ended a long time ago, as he was held to just 8 points by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA Finals, something that fans have been quick to point out.

When asked about the streak, LeBron revealed that he was simply happy to get the win, and that while the streak made history, it wasn't something he was focused on.

Love him or hate him, it's hard to deny just how incredible James has been over this stretch, and while that streak has now come to an end, he's still balling at the age of 41, as one of, if not the greatest career in NBA history begins its twilight phase.
