Jeremy Sochan Reportedly Reveals His Next NBA Team

Recently, the San Antonio Spurs made the surprise move of agreeing to a mutual buyout with talented forward Jeremy Sochan, with the former No. 9 overall pick's minutes going down rapidly in 2025/26. Despite averaging 11 points in each of his first three NBA seasons, Sochan was given just 13 minutes a game in 28 appearances this season, with both parties feeling as though it was better to simply move on, with a buyout the best option following the trade deadline.

While he was having a down year, at just 22-years of age, the belief is that he's still got a very bright future ahead of himself in the NBA. That success however depends on where he ends up, and on Thursday, he took to social media to seemingly announce his next home in the league.

This confirms reports that when he can officially get it done, Sochan will be joining the New York Knicks, a team with genuine NBA Championship aspirations this season. While he'll still be coming off the bench in New York, with the team relying on 2025 second-round pick Mohamed Diawara at the forward role, he'll be given a great opportunity to get between 15-20 minutes each and every night.

Ultimately, this is a Knicks team that picked up Jose Alvarado at the 2026 trade deadline, and with the acquisition of Sochan, they're now one of the deepest teams in the East, and have a genuine shot at chasing a title in 2026.
