ESPN Proposes Giannis Trade Idea to Warriors

The Giannis trade rumors are getting louder and louder. The Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat seem to be the favorites to land Giannis if he gets traded this season. If the Bucks decide to keep him past the trade deadline, anyone could get him.

ESPN recently proposed six different Giannis offers that could possibly get the deal done before the trade deadline.

“Golden State Warriors get:

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Myles Turner

Milwaukee Bucks get:

Jimmy Butler III

Jonathan Kuminga

Brandin Podziemski

2026 first-round pick

2028 first-round pick

2030 first-round pick (if 1-20)

2031 first-round swap

2032 first-round pick

Golden State, which can trade up to four of its own first-round picks and has a reasonable matching salary in the injured Butler, has the cleanest path to a two-team trade that gives Milwaukee young talent, picks, and cap flexibility. Butler will have an expiring contract next season and could return value at the 2027 deadline if he's back from an ACL tear that has him out for the remainder of this season."

The Golden State Warriors have supposedly made it clear that they aren’t going to trade Jimmy Butler while he recovers from his ACL injury. While you can never fully believe these types of reports, if the Warriors are holding onto Butler, Draymond Green needs to be in the deal.

Draymond is a franchise legend in Golden State, but would the Warriors be willing to get rid of him in order to land the Greek Freak? They’d have to. Giannis is the best opportunity for the Warriors to help Stephen Curry get another championship. He’s also their best opportunity to remain competitive once Curry retires. If Giannis is on the table, Draymond has to be as well.
