A New NBA Star is Shockingly on the NBA Trade Block

Everyone is talking about whether Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to be on the move this NBA trade deadline. At different points during the season, there had been discussions of other stars potentially on the move, but Giannis has had all the focus for a couple of weeks now.

That doesn’t mean that he is the only star that could potentially be traded. Recently, shocking new reports have come out that James Harden, the star guard of the Los Angeles Clippers, could also be moved before this NBA trade deadline.

Shams Charania broke the news on Monday that, "The Los Angeles Clippers and 11-time All-Star James Harden are working through whether the sides can find a deal by Thursday's NBA trade deadline, sources tell ESPN. Both sides are aligned in conversations together and with interested teams."

The wording of Shams’ tweet makes it a bit unclear if Harden is demanding a trade or if he and the Clippers have mutually decided it’s time to move on.

What’s craziest about the Harden trade news is that the Clippers have been playing incredibly lately. Over the last 15 games, the Clippers are the second-best team in the league with a record of 11–4. They’ve been shooting up the Western Conference standings after their slow start, and it seemed like things were really clicking in Clipper-Land.

That's all probably over now that Harden could be on the move. Even if the Clippers are unable to find a trade partner for Harden, the vibes will certainly be shifted now that he may have asked to leave the team.
