Egor Demin Talks About One of His Favorite NBA Moments So Far

Some of the greatest players of this last generation are still playing the game at a high level. This means that for many rookies, they get the opportunity to play against some of the players they looked up to growing up. Imagine watching Stephen Curry and LeBron James square off when you were 9 years old, like Cooper Flagg was.

One player who has been trying to soak up all the knowledge he can from the veterans he finds himself around is the Brooklyn Nets’ rookie Egor Denim.

Recently, Denim had the chance to speak to one of his basketball idols, Vince Carter, and hespoke about the experience.

“When my dad saw the video of me talking to [Vince Carter], he was crying [and said], ‘Man, that guy changed the game,’...Everybody obviously talks about Steph [Curry], LeBron [James], and Michael [Jordan], but he was like, ‘People like Vince, they really changed the game in their own way.’ That’s special to me, knowing how much that means to my dad. I kind of accomplished my dad’s dreams right now through my own experience.”

Being an NBA rookie, especially for players from overseas, gives you opportunities that you and your family would have never imagined.

That’s why it is so important for the NBA veterans and recently retired players to give back to the game. We see tons of players joining different media outlets as well as working on the bench as coaches and assistant coaches.

The more those greats give back to the new generation of players, the better chance we have of having more legends in the pipeline.
