Bobby Portis Believes the Milwaukee Bucks Have the Best Bench in the Entire NBA
Oct 22, 2025
The Milwaukee Bucks have arguably the best player in the NBA in Giannis Antetokounmpo. Still, ever since their NBA Championship win back in 2021, they've struggled to recapture that success in the postseason. They've made plenty of changes over the past 18 months, too, and with the additions of both Myles Turner and Cole Anthony this offseason, they're optimistic that they can find success again in 2025–26.
With those additions, this is a bench that now has depth and balance, and according to Bucks veteran Bobby Portis, they're also in possession of the best bench in the entire NBA.
“I think we’ve got the best bench in the NBA: Cole Anthony and Ryan Rollins in the backcourt, then TP [Taurean Prince] at the three, and me and Kuz at the four and five.”
As of right now, the Bucks bench is Anthony, AJ Green, Taurean Prince, Portis, and Jericho Sims, but with Ryan Rollins and Gary Harris, among others, also providing depth, this is a team to be feared in the East this season.

On paper, all five spots on the Bucks bench are solid, and with their balance, it makes a very solid second unit to have an impact around Antetokounmpo and the starting lineup, with Anthony potentially set to finally find a suitable role in the NBA, especially. Opinions will differ on whether this is truly the best bench in the NBA, but there's no doubting it's a good one, as it's a major strength for Milwaukee heading into the new year.
