Draymond Green and Courtside Fan Exchange Words

The Golden State Warriors are starting to feel themselves. They've now won three games in a row on the road, and look again like the team that started the season out looking like a tough playoff team in the Western Conference. With this, solid play brings confidence and a swagger that only fuels players like Draymond Green's energy.

This was on full display as the Warriors made easy work of the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. The Warriors won the game 124–106 behind a career-high 32 points from Moses Moody and an overall excellent team effort on the defensive end.

This defensive effort was, per usual, led by Draymond Green, who had two steals, a block, and led the Warriors in plus/minus for the game. Draymond had eight points, ten rebounds, and six assists in the game as well.

This extremely typical Draymond performance didn’t protect him from being ridiculed by one courtside Pelicans fan. At one point in the game, Draymond and a random fan got in each other's faces, fighting about something.

Since the altercation, it was revealed that the fan was repeatedly calling Draymond “Angel Reese,” a star WNBA player who is known for getting tons of rebounds by missing tip-ins. Draymond didn’t take too nicely to being called names, but in reality, there was a sequence or two in the game where Draymond repeatedly had tip-in attempts and wasn’t able to get the ball in the basket.

In the end, Draymond is not someone you can call out and get away with it. The fight didn’t escalate to anything real and was just a moment of excitement in an otherwise somewhat uneventful game. Because it was Draymond involved, this little spat will get more attention than it deserves, but in reality, it was just some good old trash-talking between a fan and a player.
