New York Knicks Reveal Positive Update On The Injury Status Of Jalen Brunson
Nov 19, 2025
The New York Knicks have one of the deepest teams in the NBA this season, and in a weakened Eastern Conference, many believe the path to the NBA Finals runs through the Big Apple. Early in the season, this is a team that's been tested too, with some big road games against top contenders, as well as the injury situation with both Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby.
Unfortunately for the latter, it appears as though he could miss some time, but for their captain and their leader, things are looking much, much more positive. According to reports, after missing several games with a Grade 1 ankle sprain, Brunson has been upgraded to questionable for the matchup with the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.
That, of course, doesn't guarantee that he will play, but given how crucial he is to their success, to be this close to a return after just two games missed is a major positive for Brunson and the team. In 11 games played thus far in 2025–26, Brunson has been at his best, averaging 28 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game, and under Mike Brown, this team appears to have found its offensive flow, even without No. 11.

Ultimately, though, this team will only go as far as Brunson takes them in the NBA Playoffs, so while the team will likely be cautious with his return, it appears as though his return after a two-game absence is drawing near.
