LeBron James Reveals His Plans For the 2028 Olympic Games

LeBron James is one of the most decorated players in basketball history, and that includes the international stage, where he has picked up three Olympic gold medals and one bronze. Despite taking an aging roster to the games in Paris, Team USA once again pulled off a massive victory in 2024, picking up the 11-point victory over France to win yet another gold.

Now, LeBron has discussed that tournament with Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, talking through many amazing moments that occurred throughout the tournament. One thing he also did was reveal his future at the Olympic level, and with the next games still three years away, he's declared that he won't play at that level again.

“We can't top what we just did.”

That's quite understandable given that his first appearance for Team USA at the Olympics was over 20 years ago at the 2004 games in Athens, with almost 1,900 NBA games under his belt since his debut in 2003. This has been a long time coming for the United States, with the team now likely needing to prepare for life after James, Curry, and Kevin Durant, with all three likely to participate in the 2028 games.

In his time in the Olympics, LeBron has led Team USA to unprecedented success, and while his time on the international stage is over, he'll long be regarded as one of the best Olympic basketball players of all time.
