Bucks Players to Step Up With Giannis Antetokounmpo Potentially Out
Nov 18, 2025
The Milwaukee Bucks look like they could be without their star player for a few games. Giannis Antetokounmpo may have injured his groin in the Bucks' 118 106 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he could miss time over the next few days while he recovers. Here is a list of players who you can expect to step up in his absence.
Ryan Rollins
Ryan Rollins has been the second-best player on the Bucks this season. After Kevin Porter Jr. went down early in the season, the Bucks were without a lead ball handler, and things looked dire. Then Ryan Rollins exploded. He's the team's second leading scorer, second leading assist getter, and leader in steals.
With Giannis out, even more responsibility will fall on Rollins to create offense for the Bucks. Without Giannis to distract defenses, Rollins may struggle, but he will be putting up way more volume, and because of that, he should see his stats take a significant bump as well.

Myles Turner
Myles Turner hasn’t needed to be as offensively involved this season as he was on the Pacers. With Giannis commanding so much of the scoring load, Turner has seen his scoring decrease from 15.6 points per game last season to 12.3 this season.
Now that Giannis’ injury may make him miss some time, Turner should have the green light to shoot more and be more selfish in the Bucks' offense. We know Turner is capable of shouldering a heavier load.
Kyle Kuzma
This one may be a bit more unlikely. Kuzma is scoring his lowest average since his last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, and is shooting an abysmal 28.3% from three. Still, with Giannis out, there are more touches to go around, and we know Kuzma can get shots up when he has the green light. This could be the moment that Kuzma finally finds his stroke once again.
